Lewisville, Texas – October 25, 2010 – med fusion, an integrated laboratory reference testing and trial services company, announced today it has entered into an agreement with HCA North Texas to provide local reference laboratory testing services, which are currently sent outside the North Texas community. Dallas-based HCA hospitals will now have immediate, local access to hundreds of complex tests performed by med fusion.
The purpose of the contract is to further HCA’s goal of expediting specific test results, which have in the past taken longer because of transportation. The partnering organizations predict this new agreement will help to lower healthcare costs and create additional jobs in the Dallas area, giving a boost to the local economy.
“We are pleased to work with an organization of HCA’s caliber and look forward to supporting its patient care goals,” says Keith Laughman, CEO of med fusion. “This agreement will allow med fusion to deliver HCA’s patients with critical test results more quickly, which makes care more efficient, and enable doctors to start treatment sooner.”
